Children aged 3 – 4 years are in the intermediate stage of life. They begin to experiment more with the world around them, and they are constantly looking for ways to test their boundaries, both at home and at school. We encourage children to develop their individual interests, at the same time gaining an awareness of school community.
Students in our Pre-Kindergarten (Pre-K) class are taught the basic social skills needed for interacting at school. This includes washing hands, lining up, participating in structured activities and interacting in an age appropriate manner. While children at this age are not expected to sit for long periods of instructional learning, GENIUS teachers engage children in small group sessions to cover the basics of literacy and mathematics.
Pre-K’s course subjects include English, Grammar, Phonics, Math, Science, Reading, and English songs. Utilizing Singaporean and British curriculum combined with added literacy, math and science instructional materials provides a cornerstone foundation of English and basic knowledge at an early age. Students in Pre-K are engaged in simple writing practice, color classifying and object lessons on a daily basis.
